Employment Data, Trends and Research

Employment Trends Research
Our bi-annual Recruiting Trends Surveys provide members with useful data with which to compare recruiting trends for the benefit of both internal and external stakeholders. The surveys are disseminated to CSEA school members in January and May each year. All member schools are encouraged to participate.

Career Services Benchmarking Surveys
Every other year we conduct an in-depth survey that looks at career services operations, programs, services and salary information. Survey respondents receive a link that allows them to compare across variables such as geography or school size. Full access to survey results is only available to the schools who participate in the survey. Executive summaries from previous years can be found in the Document Library.

GMAC Corporate Recruiters Survey
CSEA partners with GMAC on the annual Corporate Recruiters Survey. The survey provides schools and employers with a comprehensive look at graduate business school recruiting across the globe, with insight such as hiring demand by industry or region, mobility and salary information. Schools who participate receive a school-specific benchmarking report exploring recruiting behavior and candidate selection. The survey is disseminated around December each year, and all CSEA member schools are encouraged to participate.

Standards for Reporting MBA Employment Data
CSEA owns and authors the Standards that are used by business schools to measure and analyze MBA employment data. All CSEA member schools are strongly encouraged to use the Standards as a way to ensure data collected is meaningful, accurate and consistent. Schools are also encouraged to make their data eligible for an AUP (Agreed Upon Procedures) review, which provides external acknowledgment that employment data is captured using the Standards.

Employment Data System
In collaboration with AACSB, we offer an employment data system for schools to enter their graduate business employment data. Entering data in the CSEA module within the AACSB Data Direct online system allows schools to participate in the AUP program, as well as access robust benchmarking surveys. Data is collected in January and February each year.

Get Involved

Committee Involvement
Members are encouraged to join one or more committees to expand their involvement and impact on the organization and the industry. Volunteering allows members to give back to the organization while taking their professional development and networking to the next level. Our volunteers tell us that the relationships and connections they develop through committee involvement not only expand their network but also help them to better contribute to their own organizations.

Awards and Recognition
CSEA recognizes the significant contributions of our membership each year through our Awards Program. Pay attention to your inbox for announcements and nomination requests. Click here for a list of past award winners.
