Hello to all of my MBA CSEA colleagues! I am so excited and honored to be taking on the role of president for such an amazing organization. I am looking forward to a year where we focus on the issues affecting our industry (continued growth of master's level programs at universities, tough hiring environment for international students, to name a few) as well as work on how we can better serve our broad and diverse membership base.
To that end, we have multiple focus groups that are working on identifying how we can best position ourselves to meet our members' needs:
- European and Asian focus groups to make sure we are serving the needs of our constituents around the globe
- Micro-credentialling task force focusing on launching a credentialing program that will help our career services and employer members
- Employer Advisory Council to make sure we are addressing the needs and issues of our employer members
- Seasoned member task force focusing on the needs of our members who have been in the industry for 7 or more years
This is an area that we can use the assistance of all of our members. How can you help?
- Help spread the word about MBA CSEA and its benefits to our variety of members. As employers come to your school or as you network at different events, let them know about our organization. View benefits for employer members here.
- Participate in all that MBA CSEA has to offer – three annual conferences, regional forums, frequent webinars, the online community, the job board, the document library, research and trends, etc.
- Take a look at the new e-membership. This is a great way to get more of your staff involved at a lower price point if they don't plan to attend our events.
- Get involved on one of our committees. It's a great way to build up your professional network.
