MBA CSEA: Reflecting on a Great Year
MBA CSEA Executive Director Megan Hendricks reflects on the successes of the past year.
While it's not technically year-end, June is always a time of reflection for me because it's when our board turns over and our committees get started with planning for the next cycle of events and programs. Once the busyness of conference planning concludes, I always reflect on the past year. And, what a year it's been! We've accomplished a lot (for a full view of what we've done, view our Annual Report). We ran three successful conferences, with over 700 combined attendees globally. We hosted seven webinars, three virtual employer round tables, and one Regional Forum. Our online community is thriving, with 850 members in the Open Forum. We successfully completed two major research projects with the help of our research firm, Industry Insights. We continue to partner with industry leaders, including GMAC for their Corporate Recruiters Survey and AACSB for employment data collection. We launched three sets of Standards, and 104 schools are eligible for a Standards Compliance Review. We continue to have positive relationships with rankings media institutions, and our Ambassador Club doubled in participation.
It's amazing to sit back and think about everything we've accomplished with the help of 150 volunteers and four part-time staff members. The productivity that comes from this organization is outstanding.
But, when I reflect back on the past year, this is what I really see.
I see the similng faces...
The laughter...
The "aha" moments...
The relationships...
The collaboration and sharing that you just don't find anywhere else.
It's these moments and relationships that really make us who we are. Thank you for a great year. I look forward to seeing what 2018/2019 will bring!
